nightflower mockups

I’m so excited my latest quilt pattern is here: Nightflower! One of my favorite things about this pattern is that the fabric requirements are written so you can really customize the look of your quilt, and I’ve made a few mockups (all of which are featured at the end of the pattern) so you can get an idea of how different each Nightflower looks when you switch up the fabrics you’re using.

(I’ve listed the fabric swatch names, but remember as always that swatches can differ somewhat from the real thing! All of the fabrics in the mockups are solids, but you can always substitute a print with a similar color to get a similar look.)

Mockup 1: My Favorite Little Baby

This one is the mockup for a version I really, really wanted to make, but I just never had the time to. I still have it in the back of my mind that I’m going to make this version in the baby size and hang it on my wall! I just love this combination of colors:

Fabrics: AGF Pure Solids in magnetism, coconut milk, latte, dried carrot, lemon tart, pacific, and spruce (binding is lava rock)

Mockup 2: My Little Boy’s Favorite

This one is so fun. I really love it, and it made my top four list of mockups because my 6-year-old boy loves this one the most. It has such happy, positive vibes, and I’d love to see someone bring it to life!

Fabrics: Kona cotton in cloud, leather, creamsicle, orchid, pimento, grapemist, natural, and bright idea (binding is sienna)

Mockup 3: My Husband’s Favorite

My husband saw this one from across the room and stopped what he was doing to come look at it. For a man who sees more quilt mockups than he’d ever dreamed possible, that’s saying something! I really love this one, too:

Fabrics: Kona cotton in grellow and leather; AGF Pure Solids in pacific, tiger lily, coconut milk, evergreen, apricot crepe, and peach sherbet (binding is evergreen)

Mockup 4: The One I Almost Made

Last but not least, I really did almost make this one, too. I just ran out of time! So many quilts, so little time. My husband keeps mentioning a Time Turner, but we have yet to see one for sale in any shops anywhere, so please send me a DM if you know of somewhere they have them in stock.

Fabrics: Fableism Forest Forage Daisies in wheat and biscuit; Fableism Sprout Wovens in oat, sugar, storm, morro bay, terracotta, and bronze (binding is bronze)

Mockup 5:

Okay, so this one isn’t included in the pattern; I just made it up right now for fun. Because once you start mocking up Nightflowers, it’s really hard to stop! This one is a lot of fun, and the texture would be to die for:

Fabrics: AGF Suzy Quilts Wildflower wovens in wild rose, cloud, zinnia, golden hour, honeysuckle, clover, prickly pear, and bluebell (binding is zinnia)

That’s all! I can’t wait to see what y’all end up making with the Nightflower pattern!
